Meet The Team

Olivia Schweppe is a mother of two and the Co-Founder of Wonder Walls. With a background in investment banking and private equity, an MBA from Columbia Business School, and more than a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector, Olivia brings both strategic rigor and deep compassion to her work. Her commitment to improving the hospital experience for children is rooted in a belief that thoughtfully designed spaces can offer comfort, dignity, and moments of joy during challenging times. Drawing on her professional experience and her perspective as a parent, Olivia leads Wonder Walls with intention, care, and a long-term vision for impact. She lives in Philadelphia with her husband and two children.

Eric Schweppe is the Co-Founder of Wonder Walls. A former Army Ranger and graduate of the United States Military Academy, he brings a service-first leadership style shaped by elite military experience and medical training. Eric is an orthopaedic surgery resident, where he cares for patients with traumatic injuries and complex musculoskeletal conditions, with a daily focus on restoring mobility and function. He applies that frontline clinical perspective to Wonder Walls by building durable partnerships, organizing volunteer teams, and delivering room transformations with consistency, quality, and care, helping hospital spaces feel more human, welcoming, and hopeful for pediatric patients and their families.

Tala Akhavan is a mother of two, a longtime advocate for children’s wellbeing, and the Chief Operating Officer of Wonder Walls. Her commitment to supporting hospitalized youth by bringing warmth and joy into clinical spaces is deeply personal and rooted in a belief that even in the most difficult moments, children deserve dignity, wonder, and emotional safety. Tala has spent her career building and leading operations across both the private and public sectors, and is currently co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Pietra Inc., a venture-backed technology and e-commerce company helping brands scale. She also actively fundraises for organizations in her hometown of Los Angeles, all aligned with the mission of childhood wellbeing and educational advancement. Tala lives in Brentwood with her husband and two young children, bringing both heart and operational leadership to everything she does.

Tobylynn Lichtenstein is a mother, recruiter, and interior designer with a remarkable eye for creative design. A longtime supporter of Wonder Walls since its inception, she has played an integral role in shaping the organization’s vision and growth. Tobylynn brings a deep commitment to community service, with a long history of supporting nonprofits throughout the Philadelphia area. Her passion for thoughtful, joyful design and her dedication to children’s wellbeing help ensure that every Wonder Walls space feels intentional, comforting, and full of heart.
